Welcome to 'Transmitting to Earth'. I'm Charssun and I'll be your host. This blog and podcast is a byproduct of VoyagerRadio.com and is intended to provide the most timely information about this Internet radio station. It is also intended to be a fun and accessible electronic journal with commentary focusing on Internet radio, podcasting and webcasting issues and technologies, music, and some of my other interests. I also offer personal perspective about being an Internet radio broadcaster (and podcaster).

Thank you to everyone who voted for VoyagerRadio, which was nominated as Best New Station in the Best of Live365 Awards. The results will be announced May 1st at the awards ceremony during the Live365 Broadcasters Summit in San Francisco. If you can't make it to the conference, keep watching this blog--as soon as I hear the results I'll post them here!

Deadline for Voting in the Best of Live365 Awards Approaches

The deadline for the Best of Live365 Awards is Thursday at 5pm Pacific, so if you're a VoyagerRadio listener (or simply enjoy reading this blog), please head over to your favorite Internet radio station to vote! Details are available on VoyagerRadio's News page. Thanks for your consideration.

Anyone Know of a Good Mass Emailer for OS X?

I'm looking for a good mass emailer for my newsletter list. I've been using Yahoo!Groups to manage my newsletter list but I'd like to work with something more professional--something that doesn't insert ads into every newsletter I send out. So far I've come across MailDrop as a potential solution; if anyone knows of a better program for Mac OS X please let me know.

eBay Auction for Internet Radio Station Ends

Bidding has ended on the world's first auction (that I know of) for an Internet radio station. Bidder joenextdoor placed the winning bid of $100.99 after a 14-bid showdown for eBay item #3805386601, Tombstone Wrestling Radio. Enjoy your new radio station, Joe! Those of you who are curious may hear it here now.
