Welcome to 'Transmitting to Earth'. I'm Charssun and I'll be your host. This blog and podcast is a byproduct of VoyagerRadio.com and is intended to provide the most timely information about this Internet radio station. It is also intended to be a fun and accessible electronic journal with commentary focusing on Internet radio, podcasting and webcasting issues and technologies, music, and some of my other interests. I also offer personal perspective about being an Internet radio broadcaster (and podcaster).

Well, we finally reached the top 1000 of all Live365 webcasts. Of course, there are only 1000 webcasts left on Live365, so...just kidding. I actually have no idea how many webcasts there are on Live365, but that doesn't matter, anyway. There are a few folks listening to Voyager and that's all that matters.

Thanks to everyone who's listened to Voyager, and keep listening for most of the best chillout, downtempo, space, and all-around mellow electronica!

For those of you with access to a telescope, it's a great time to view Saturn. Saturn is bright and closer to Earth than it has been in nearly 30 years, and it is tilted so that its rings are especially viewable. Check out Sky View Cafe for a really neat sky map that'll show you where to look for Saturn right now.

Did you know that we now know the date of the end of the world? That's right, scientists have been able to figure out just when all will go poof! and disappear: in 7.5 billion years. Check out the story in the SpaceDaily.

Happy New Year to everyone. Here's a secret I probably shouldn't be telling you. There are two methods of listening to Voyager, one of which is illegal. There you go.

If you used to listen to my simulcasts each Monday night, you probably remember Radio Gnome, who now hosts a weekly show each Wednesday evening at 9pm Eastern at ImaginaryDimensions.com. Listen to him. He's still got it.
